New England Summer: The Ultimate Soundtrack

New England Summer: The Ultimate Soundtrack

There’s a certain kind of music that belongs to the mountains. It hums low like wind through the pines, rolls steady like the rise and fall of a gravel road, and carries with it the scent of moss and smoke. It’s not trying to be anything, it just is.

We made a playlist for this kind of summer; the kind that lives in the high hills of New England. Where the mornings start misty and blue, and the days stretch long and loose. Where your body slows to match the pace of the land, and even the smallest moment feels alive: a cup of coffee on the porch, the call of a morning dove, or the cool weight of the brook on bare skin.

This is an homage to back road drives with the windows down. From pine-scented linen sheets to town square farmer’s markets, to friends gathered around the grill as the sky turns soft and golden. These songs carry the warmth and the wide-open feeling of being in the moment, exactly where you are.

So light the citronella, pour something cold, and let the music fill the space between things. It’s a playlist, but it’s also a New England state of mind.
